Why not get some bstock skars, or obsidians? And you said you are selling an amp? Skar has the amp trade in program where he gives you "store credit" for it and then you can use that towards subs.

I did. They are wired and sitting stable at 1.4ohms. nice. looks like you got some dual 2's, if you got 1.4 on each coil separately. No they are dual 4's. I think I got a good find. how are they dual 4's if they read 1.4? unless you measured each sub in parallel Yeah two dual 4 subs gives you around 1 @ the amp. I thought I said that. My bad. wait...i still dont understand. how were the subs wired when you measured the coils? when you measure straight on the coils you get dcr. sometimes its higher or lower I have seen 4 ohm coils read anywhere from 3.1 to 5 ohms on a multimeter.

I got a free kinetik hc800 and it is completely dead. It wont even register on my multimeter. Can I try and charge this thing or just toss it?

This is where I am glad I have firefold about 10 minutes from me, they carry everything you need as far as home theater. So speaker wire is no prob, hdmi, coax, anything. But if you dont have that luxury it hurts. Ohh and as far as Best Buy all stores should carry the metra wire, not the greatest but its ofc. Just checked shows available in all Detroit MI stores.

Best buy you could have in the install bay they have or atleast when i installed there years ago had spools of 8,12,and 16ga wire.

I agree, it has come to the ebay and walmart shopper dictating the way industry goes. That is why true enthusiast and hobbiest flock to the internet for internet direct brands. There seems to be a reversal lately with a good bit of the i.d. companies going into retail with SHOK, DC, Sundown, and more. Hopefully it will change and you wont have to go online to knu, or wait 3-10 days to get a quality product. Hopefully this industry comes back strong like it has been but can make it to brick and mortar stores so it can help with jobs and popularity growing again.

What he said^^^ Run all your positives from the coils of the subs to one positive on the amp and all the negatives to one negative on the amp. Done. no these subs take power trust me. just set your gains correctly.

you have 2 dual 4's run them at 1ohm and now you get 1500x1 or 750 a sub.

good idea, i would choose ab over everything else i listed.

kicker cvt is 150w rms and right under 3" deep, earthquak 6.5 sub is 100w rms, and there is always the jl(bleh) its 150w rms and 4.25" deep
