yeah it will sound a whole lot better with an after market deck and rca's. that the one problem with the loc's, the sound quality isnt all that good

thanks for all the replys. i love the amp i have now i was just curious as to how much it would be to push it @ 4 ohms instead of 1. i could probly get away with an amp thats running 750x2 rms @ 2ohms. and run a voice coil of each one. im just thinking of different ways that i could run in

I am looking for an amp that's running true 1500rms+ @ 4 ohms. Right now my sub is dvc 2 ohms wired to one ohm @ around 1500 watts. But i want to run at four ohms to see if it will sound better. Maybe upping spl. ANY IDEAS???????????????

well thanks for the couple people who gave a serious response. everyone else please stop wasting peoples time you make forums such a pain in the ass to even want to deal with. im surprised you didnt try and correct my grammar. but yea i want to say i built it my self and obviously i would make sure the parts i would be ordering would fit and work properly with one and other. I just want to know who or where to get the parts from

you should be able to use the signal from the back sub. thats weird its not working

idk if i can post links but if you goto klaus audio you can get free blueprints. you just put in the size of your sub, how big you want the box and how many hz you want it. it will automatically size the port or you can make it anysize you want. you just have to go through the process like you want to buy one and right before you click on add to cart or what ever it gives you the option to view blueprints. then you can just print them of and make you box its really simple and free

there is prolly something like a high pass filter on the stock amp thats not playing thoes lower fz. thus not giving the signal to the loc. if that makes any sence lol IDK just what im thinking it is. hope it helps

hey guys, just trying to figure out where to get parts to piece together either a 15 or an 18 inch sub, i want to build it from the ground up. motor, basket, cone and everything else lol. if you have any ideas where to order the parts or if its even worth it over buying a prefab from ab, fi, dd, aq, or whoever else sells nasty ass subs......

well im going to talk to my self and post that american bass gave me the dimensions for a 15 and not a 12 so i actually had to knock it down a ft. so its 2.5 sq ft. and tuned to 34 now. and i put it on an ma sy7011dx and it bumps like a monster......

well finally broke in the new hd12d2 on a ma sy7011dx and gave it 1500 rms. let me tell you im really suprised at how much more bass i get from this one sub in a box to spec, then from my two memphis m3 15s on a memphis pr1000.1. this thing is insane. i want to get another one. or upgrade to an 18". if anyone has an amp that is true 3000 rms let me know.

I have an american bass hd12d2 that i just built a box for. I have w memphis cast m315d4's powered by a memphis pr1000.1 that im replacing\ selling. i put the hd on the pr1000 @ 1 ohm but its obviously just not enough. So what amp do you guys recommend? the sub is 1500rms\3000 peak. this thing is a beast!!!!!
