Mac mini ftw, now just beg RF to mod your 3sixty.2s to accept a digital input

^ reviewed as tonally perfect? Maybe in an anechoic chamber? I would love to see where you read that review and more importantly who wrote the review (yes I want you to post up a link or scan an article). Even if you do have some drivers that are tonally perfect, the second you put them in a car, that perfect tonality will all go to hell. For that price , as usual i am going to recommend some Image Dynamics comps like the CTX or XS series. The name RF does not belong in a thread that has names like Image Dynamics , Focal or Morel in them. If you are going to purchase high end drivers, please for the love of god take the time to install them correctly. Its really funny to see guys claim they have SQ just because they threw in some high end drivers into their factory untreated doors with no equalization or processing.

I used to run the 165s and I loved em, great top end but the low end struggled and I had to work hard to make the enclosures for them compensate for that , cant put focal and jl in the same sentence. If you want 5x7s , the best I heard / found are the Image Dynamics XS 57s. Plan on keeping your factory headunit? I remember the Mach1 having all 2 ohm speakers or something? Its a nice car, put a system in it that will maintain its class instead of degrade it.

I learned it in physics when i was in in high school along with faraday's law , coulomb's law .. etc... Car audio is pretty much the most basic you can get with this stuff.

I still have my 95 camry with close to 200k miles on it still running like a champ, compare that to a 95 taurus... lol . I dont really have any ideas on why they are more reliable... I guess they are just designed better.

Have you checked out Rane's Drag Net software(you can download it off their site for free)? You create your own processing path depending on your needs, Also 15 band parametric EQ at whatever frequencies you want, crossover points at whatever frequencies you want. How awesome is that?! Why did you bring up signal delay...the Rane does that aswell..except it goes up to 500ms (remember its designed for pro audio). The only downside to the Rane unit in my application is that it does not have the dynamic EQ that the bitone has.. I guess I have to rely on other methods to have good sound linearity. 8 channels on the bitone is great , also the input flexibility is great however I would much rather sacrifice that and get a processor that is not infamously known to have issues. The DRC is soo sexy , I wish I could use it to control the Rane!

The differences have already been discussed between meade and ray in this thread... But simply put , I would not be able to perfectly tune my new setup with just a 3sixty.2. Been working on my new car non stop for the past month trying to get it done for this show and I am about half way done, I already took the day off from work so I will be there no matter what.

the 3sixty.2 is just plain BASIC . if you want a unit that gives your more flexibility and is just overall built and designed better, the audison bitone.1 is really the only thing out right now that I would recommend. I would recommend the Alpine H701 or Zapco DSP6 before the 3sixty.2, I would even mod a Behringer dcx2496 or a rane rpm 44 or 88 to run on 12v before ever running a 3sixty.2 again.

carb cleaner does the trick for me.
