Fs = Hertz Space K8 Components
SPL2K replied to SPL2K's topic in For Sale: Car audio related equipment only
stfu. Its in the first pic. -
This 8" 2 way set is out of my Vette and it is like new. They have less than an hour of play time on them. I didnt keep the box for the mids or crossovers but i have the box, all mounting parts, and both sets of rear tuning chambers for the tweeters and all the manuals. Ive tried several different component sets in my car over the last 2 weeks and liked this set the best but now i want to build a custom 3 way set. retail is $1049. i will let these go for $420 shipped. http://www.hertzaudiovideo.com/default_en.htm

you know...you could easily double the value of these subs with some yellow decals. :
-
With that kind of power and a blow-through, I would do 4 15's instead of 2 18's.
-
3 15's below the window line or 6 15's all the way up would be your best bet.
-

All the mobile electronics schools across the US are great for showing the basics and teaching advanced tecniques but nothing takes the place (or teaches as much) as day to day hands on experience. The problem with all these schools is a kid can graduate in the top of his class and be able to build bad ass kick panels for a Ferarri but has no clue how to install a head unit in a Dodge Neon. These are the same "certified top installers" that catches their first car on fire or sets off an airbag in the bay of Circuit City - Best Buy trying to install a remote start. I used to interview 10 of these kids a week fresh out of Acoustic Edge.

Ces Vs Sema
SPL2K replied to dbdrg's topic in Off Topic - Random, Misc posts - the forum "Junk Drawer"
Although I like SEMA much better, there are still ALOT of major car audio manufacturers that dont attend SEMA but do go to CES. Every year there is more and more car audio though at SEMA so I give it a couple more years and it will be THE show to go to. Im lucky enough to live close enough to Vegas to go to both. -
all depends on the car.

yes...it can be done. But to follow every angle and get the most out of the available airspace, make it look and fit as good as possible, and be structurally safe and sound, it should be built inside the vehicle.
-
The only way to do it right is piece by piece inside the vehicle. Dont settle for something generic that will just slide in throug the door.
-
Does it need to fit in a certin vehicle or just a generic 8 12 box?
-
$500 shipped each? These are the newest versions with the plexi bottoms.
-
Ive got 3 to get rid of. 1 brand new in the box never opened and 2 that are brand new / never used but no box. $525 each shipped
-

msrp is $1299. thanks...i just threw it together for some quick bass. This box is temporary until i get time to build "the real box".

SPL2K replied to ~digital~bass~'s topic in TOOLS and TESTING Devices
I wont use a table saw with a guard on it. Thats always the first thing i remove when i get a new one. ....but of course ive got about a billion hours of experience with them.
