  1. Thanks man. Like 10 minutes after that post i measured and got 10x7x7 which is the size of the d3400. I ordered this and a terminal kit from crutchfield. Cant wait for whats to come!
  2. so what is the projected xmax going to be? Do you happen to know the weight and maybe the fs?
  3. Can it handle a zx1500? lol im pushing my 8v2 on zx750 (932rms birthed) in a tline and it gets warm to the touch but blows cool air for the past couple months. Definitely excited for this! can you say UPGRADE?! Haha
  4. Hi, i am upgrading batteries and ive heard a lot about xs power. What is a good battery i can stick in my 2006 ford ranger 3.0l. I am running a kicker zx750 right now pushing out about 930w rms. I will be upgrading to a kicker cx1200 which should put out somewhere around 1300w remote standard
  5. How would you rate yours at 520w on sq and spl? Ive got a Sa-8v2 with a hifonics hfi1000d (pushin 650w rms) and it sounds good but, it is my first set up and ive never had anything else to compare it to (and its in a 0.64ft3 box slot ported @35hz). Thanks, the fs being so high was the main reason that I questioned how they sounded at lower frequencies. When I model things up in winisd, it usually seems that the higher the fs, the worse the lower response ends up. But I am still trying to figure alot of this stuff out and am well aware that I don't understand the relationship of all the t/s parameters and how they affect performance. If I go with the e-8v3's I may buy the hifonics amp, but if for some reason I end up with the sa series I would probably get teh aq amp. Hifonics makes up to a 4200w amp which sounds like enough for any SA series sub.
  6. How would you rate yours at 520w on sq and spl? If i was you i would buy two E-8v3's for about 80/ piece, run atleast 1000w combined, and in a ported box (good value for all of that). Heck i paid 145 for one v2 and 110 for the amp and I think it goes deep. Plus the fact that it blows my friends minds when i tell them i only have an 8. The only thing i dont know is that the resonant frequency of the e8v3 is 51.9hz and xmax is only 12mm which reminds me of a sealed box rock sub. The resonant frequency of the v2 is 34.6hz and xmax is at 16.5. Also if you havent already bought an amp Hifonics makes a great series of high powered amps called the "Brutus" line at 1200+
  7. What is the xmax on that? That will be cool to see a finished picture of the sub with a nice basket on it. You ll have to post it up when done.
  8. It will be very strong thermally ; ahead of the current SA-10/12/15 woofers. We are doing our best mechanically as well ; we spent alot of time and energy on the spider and the surround is also a new tool just for this driver. is the xmax of the v1.5 different from the v2? sa-8. 16.5mm?
  9. wow 600-750 dang. if the sa-8's can handle 1000w rms all day, i wonder about this one
  10. I would guess somewhere close to the sa-12. 600w or so (sundown rating, so wayy more).
