You mean using only one port instead of 2?

I'm designing a new box for my BTL and since I went up to an 18 when I re-coned it my current box isn't big enough(about 3.5 cu ft net) I have it designed, but for my tuning I have a port without a bend in it. I've never put a bend in a port and just wanted to make sure that my design is right. For my tuning I need to have 27.5 inches of port length, and the wall my ports are going on are only 19.25 inches from the opposite wall of my box.

I noticed that the shipping weight for my order is only 3 lbs and i ordered the new cone and basket is this right or could the basket be getting shipped separately?

Re cone should be in tomorrow and have one more question before i take a knife to my sub, what should I use as a shim when I install the new cone?

the other 2 guys answered your first question, and i'll answer the 2nd, yes you can when you go to checkout and go to the paypal screen you'll see a link with the visa, amex, MC and discover logos on it, just click that and it'll take you to another screen where you put in your information.

What kind of glue should I use to glue down the spiders and the surround?

Depending on how detailed you want the color transitions to be and whether or not there's a shop in your area you could go to line-x and they can spray bedliners in almost any color they could do part red and part black like you want to do

Your amp is going to be drawing considerably more than your stock alternator's total output. you're definitely going to need to upgrade it iraggi makes two that are 180a each which should be enough for what you're doing I've got a RF 1051s and it's putting out 1200w and i'm fine with 150a

since your amp draws close to twice what your stock alternator puts out you're going to need to upgrade it because it's eventually going to fail check iraggi's ebay store to see what's available. If you want to find out how much draw your amp has try finding someone that has the same amp as you and see if they can clamp it.

What kind of car is it going in?

no it says in the description that the motor is standard for all three sizes, but since i don't have the money yet to order it i just went ahead and e-mailed him. and i'm running a little over 5 cubes right now after displacement so i'll more than likely be fine if not i'll just build another box.

I can't throw much more power at it because my charging system is pretty much maxed out right now but with the setup i've got i'm pushing almost 1700 to it. the amp did 1139 at 4 ohms and 14.0 volts i'm at 2.8 ohms and 14.6 volts which if my math is right(1139/14x14.6/.7) i'll be pushing 1697 to it which is close enough to its 2k rms for me if i do upgrade my amps it won't be for a while cause i'm going to order the dual 2 recone because my amp won't go lower than 2 ohms per channel or 4 ohms total so to upgrade to more power and stick with RF i'd have to wait til april when the constant power series amps are released

yea it's actually $49 more i was looking at just the 18 recone vs the 18 recone with a basket in which case it's a $39 difference but to get the 15 recone it's $110 and to get the 18 recone with the basket it's $159

if you go to Fi's website under the recone section one of the options is to add the basket, its $39 more for the 18 with the basket than just the 18

I knew i'd need a new basket and since for the 18 it's only $39 more it's more than worth it to get 50% more cone area and hopefully i'll be :hairtrick: before too long

It's cut from the edge of the basket to the cone itself but i also just want to upgrade to an 18 cause of how many of my friends have 15's

I've got a BTL 15 and when i was installing it in my new box a buddy of mine was drilling the screws in and one of them slipped off the drill and stabbed a hole in the surround. I'm going to order a re cone friday when i get my paycheck but i've got a couple of questions before i order, is the basket that i have now going to be glued to the motor assembly or is it only going to be held together with screws, and do Fi's recones come with instructions?

This system is the most insane system I have ever seen. If it's done by the time of the Texas heatwave in austin do you think you'll be there with it?
