  1. Just sold him an amp. He's a good buyer. Very easy to deal with on every aspect. Thanks Chode.
  2. That is great. If I didn't know better, I would say that he wrote that routine for me. I actually choked a guy out at a breakfast buffet once over a little bacon misunderstanding. I had a big (ok rediculously huge) plate full of nothing but bacon, as well as a plate rediculously loaded w/ hashbrowns and I was setting them back on my table that already had a plate w/ a lot of french toast and one w/ a lot of pancakes. OK, when I hit the buffet, it isn't often, but if you do something, do it right. So as I'm setting down my mound of bacon a guy in the next booth made a comment about "two pigs". I thought he was calling my wife and I pigs. Calling me a pig - I don't care. At the time I happened to be acting like one, which isn't real common, but it happens. Calling my wife a pig - you have crossed the first line (which used to be the only line until I grew up a bit). Words were exchanged, he chose to push me and as I caught my footing he took a swing, so I pushed him back. I just did it in the form of a "single wing strangle". Bacon. FTW!
  3. Thanks. You have no idea how nice it is to have an easy, honest, no BS transaction these days. Thanks and enjoy!
  4. Bought a pair of Diamond 12s from me. Very friendly, simple, easy transaction and a very reasonable person too. The communication was perfect. Thank you very much for a great transaction. Enjoy banging em!
  5. Winchester? Is it a model 94? Looks like it from the pic, but something seems off. Could just be the pic.
  6. You hear the one about the deaf guy and the faggot? Huh? What?
  7. It really sucks when your projects aren't all in a similar line of work. When you have box builds, audio installs happening in the same garage or shop as motor builds, tranny swaps, etc. the different messes make it even worse.
  8. That's not so bad. You should see how mine gets about mid summer when the project level is at 12x the normal level. It really gets interesting.
  9. I need to clear something up. I think I may have come across as anit-Lesnar. I'm a martial arts nut and I enjoy many aspects in the MA world. I favor submission fighting just because that is where the focus of most of my training has been. I have to say that I had a whole new world of subtle techniques opened up to me by a special guest instructor that my coaches brought in for us for a couple of months. His background was in all kinds of wrestling, including winning a gold medal for freestyle wrestling in the olympics. There is a wealth of knowledge and skill that these wrestlers have to offer, especially in the area of controlling your opponent. Rolling with him was one hell of a shock to say the least. I don't have anything against Brock, I just tend to always favor the submission guys.
  10. Saltine, I saw how quick the ref jumped on that and I have never seen a ref do that so fast and without warning. That really sucked for Brock Lesnar. I have also noticed that Herb Dean who is always to quick to stop fights has all of the sudden started letting things get to a point where I would say they were almost out of hand. There is a lot of inconsistancy in the referees and unfortunately for todays UFC, I really don't know how it could be fixed without having only one ref all the time. Of course, my solution is to get rid of the refs, go back to no rules (except this time make it illegal to throw crotch shots, bite, or eye gouge). Basically, take it back to the way it was. You will I'm still an old school MMA junkie. I like the no rules UFC much better than what we have now.
  11. Tim Sylvia beaten by Nogueira. Again with the good submissions. FTW!!
  12. Without a way to purchase UFC and PRIDE PPVs my wallet would be a lot better off.
  13. Perhaps, but when you watch the real submission "specialists", which there are very few fighting now, you will see physically outmatched fighters win in a lot of their fights. Most fighters now have a submission skills set, but there are few that really have an exceptional skill and focus on it. Fedor Emelianenko is a perfect example (now, he is also good at a lot of other aspects of the game) of a submission master puting it to use. His fight against Hong-man Choi was similar to this fight in that Choi had him beat in size by a good amount. Submission skills outweighed the disadvantage.
  14. Its not really fair to knock on Mir like he is just a slouch who never had a chance. He only lost his title to begin with because he couldn't defend it due to a motorcycle accident (pretty bad one if I remember correctly). There was a time that Frank Mir was trouble. Anyone remember what he did to Tim Silvias arm? Frank Mir hasn't been the same since he came back. I don't know if he will ever be able to get back to where he was. Side note: Emelianenko VS. Couture via HGNET Fight, now that would be an amazing fight.
  15. Small turbo, but good for quick spool. For Mrwiggelzdj - that is a turbocharger with the o2 sensor housing still attached with an o2 sensor still in it as well as the oil lines and possible coolant lines but I am not sure from the pics (cartunez2004 can answer that just by counting how many points of entery/exit in the center housing and ratiational assembly). There is also an internal wastegate actuator, what looks like some kind of factory boost control solenoid and some vacuum line run between them. BassJunkie - not necessarily for this turbo, but for any turbo, if you can't come up with a source for oil, look into an oil filter sandwich plate. They are pretty simple. They are really just installed between your oil filter housing and the oil filter. They provide a number of ports in which most people install sending units for oil pressure and temp gauges but you should be able to pull an oil source from it. You will need to get a return line to your oil pan. Tacoma, well pretty much everyone. Turbochargers are run by exhaust gases. Anyone installing a turbocharger on a car that is naturally aspirated will have to come up with: turbo manifold downpipe intake tube and filter intercooler plumbing from turbo to intercooler intercooler itself intercooler plumbing from intercooler to intake manifold compressor bypass valve (blow off valve) some vacuum line a boost gauge fuel system upgrades (pump, injectors, fuel pressure regulator, and way to control/tune like an S-AFC, Maf translator II, etc.) a boost controller (unless the wastegate is set to the desired pressure already) This is just a general list, I would really recommend a good knock sensor, datalogger, and a wideband o2 system as well. A lot of these items will be vehicle specific and specific to one another. You really need to know what you are doing to turbocharge a naturally aspirated vehicle successfully. A lot of people buy these "bolt on" turbo kits and I have seen most of them kill their cars quick. I have had to rescue a couple of them myself. I don't mean to discourage or threadjack, I just want to throw in my .02 since I have a bit of time spent in the world of forced induction. Good luck with the sale.
  16. I can agree with what you are saying about looking fast and not being fast. Its kind of like telling someone you know karate (kung-fu, judo, aikido, are trained to be a cage fighter , etc.) when you don't. You have nothing to back it up with.
  17. This explanation makes very little sense to me. Everyone has the right to their opinion, but I just don't understand this one. The pretty much understand what the other posts opinions were. So help me out here, First, the black 99 Eclipse (manufactured/built in Illinois). I suppose that you are calling the black car a ricer because it is modified? It did 394whp and 401 ft/lb of torque on the dyno on pump gas. The exterior is stock except for the wheels, the badges/emblems are removed and yes, the muffler. The exhaust needed to be as open as possible so it has 3" mandrel bent from the turbo back. In attempt to quiet it down, the least restrictive muffler possible was installed. Oh, and the intercooler, you can see that from the front. I don't know how one would hide an intercooler that size and it is necessary when you run high boost levels. I fail to see what is "ricer" about it. What makes it qualify? Then the green one, a numbered series dodge charger daytona RT with a completely stock exterior, stock interior except for the added amp and subs (there are two neon lights for the subs). Stock "Hemi" except for a upgraded intake. What makes this one win? Then the two side by side in the driveway. An eagle talon and a mitsubishi eclipse. Both manufactured in Illinois. They are modded, although not to the level of the black eclipse yet. I've only had the talon for a month and it is more of a resurrection project at the moment. The grey eclipse has only been mine for two weeks so it doesn't have a bunch done to it yet. Why don't they qualify when the others do? What about the yellow Nissan? Why doesn't it fit ricer? It is really the only imported vehicle of that group. It is modded as well. It has a bunch of exterior mods, bright colors, wheels, etc. Again, we all have the rights to our opinion, I just don't understand what your reequirements are to make a car a "ricer".
  18. I can't take credit for the poster. Someone else made it. Now, I'm curious, since everyone seems to have their own definition of "ricer", Ricer or No? Oh, and off topic:
  19. Hey, somebody already posted the movie poster under "Random Picture Post", here it is:
  20. To keep things up to date, the weekend was eaten up by commitments to a bunch of stuff. I managed to get 3 of 6 gauges installed. I have also aquired most of the parts necessary to replace the belts, the water pump, the various seals (cam, crank, etc.). I still have a few parts to order before I can get that done though. Since I have had the car, I have managed to convert a friend of mine, named Joe,to the dark side. He experienced a lot of ride time and work time with my 99 so he already knows what these cars really are. So, in the pictures you will find my friends new project as well. More soon. I hope.
  21. I really wouldn't recommend running without a filter. Just my .02.
