  12. aslong as you didn't push the amp to clipping you could use just one until you can upgrade to two.

  20. you don't need a rule of thumb when you have a formula
  21. I would strongly recommend the matrix. Run two. use One for front out/rear out to front/rear amps then sub out to a second matrix then use the three outs to your sub amps. If your amps have line outs just use that. Go to the matrix site look up the manual they have the exact setup I'm talking about diagrammed
