    there are three differrent harnesses for them fords you just got the wrong one if you are just addind a deck and dont care about sound quality get the right plug and wire it up if you want it to sound right i would bypass the factory amp just run four speaker wires to the amp and tag onto the outputs. the amp should be in the rear passenger 1/4 panel.

    8 ga should be fine as long as its the same size or thicker than stock.

    starter did you run a new wire to the starter?? double check al wire connections esp the fuse box if its loose you might be loosing power to some importent(sp) circuits.

    you need more batteries bigger alt but not caps . caps wont help you with that much power

    sundowns should be real easy to find they have their own section on here have you checked the sub wiring try a different sub in differnt box to see if it still does it.

    thats the shock tower he was asking about running a ground to the engine. i would run a ground to the engine block . how about the bolt on the alt bracket should work good.

    can you go to the shop and watch or even help out most smaller shops usually dont mind a little free help. whats the book about never seen it before. i have the mecp book it has good info in it but imo it wont make you a better installer as long as you know the basics.

    so whats up with the 2 wires going into the fuse box it looks like one from the alt and one from the batt.

    looks like the A terminal pull the cover off it should be a nut and bolt setup the other should be a molex plug with smaller wires. dont worry about the factory wires just add on your new power wire from the alt to the batt using a fuse you can add a new wire from the fuse panel to the battery to help with the dimming .test the A terminal wire with a dmm to make sure its 12v.good luck

    i would just run 2 rcas one for mids one for bass you can run y adaptors. but why dont you want to run a second rca

    get a better 4 ch amp or check your gain setup prob just need to re adjust everything x over points and gain.
