i have an older 74 benz280se and a 86 560sec and i know what you mean as far as it not being simple to upgrade all the grounds and power. the wires running to the alt on both those cars are complicated they have a little plug that the power wires go to. so in order to upgrade u gotta strip the sheath from the wire bundle trace both connections then splice the wire cause the terminals arent made for large wiring. so u end up with 12ga terminal to 0ga wire on both ends. the only easy wiring is the damn grounds. i love both my benz but they didnt make these cars for aftermarket anything!!!!

i have a 3 1/2 month old cda-9887 i only installed it for about three weeks. i bought it off of amazon and i guess the warranty is still good, i can get u the item num for reference. it is in excellent condition and will come with everything that came in the box. it does have the imprint and all that jazz. i just want to go back to the 9886 i had, it was so much easier to operate for me. i would actually offer a trade for anyone in the area of goldsboro-raleigh-durham, pretty much anywhere within a few hours of those ares for a 9886. asking $200 shipped, i also have this on ebay and craigslist. now asking 190 c'mon folks buy this or locally trade me, it's a great deal!!

damn i feel old. i know the hafler amps, man i hope the one your'e getting works. if i remember correctly they were the predecessors to the punch amps.
