I replaced one a few years back on a old kenwood D mask I had. It really aint that hard just take your time and dont lose anything...lol. You will have to take the whole radio apart to get to where the cable connects to the circuit board. -

I just remembered that I could pull the face and mess with the ribbon cable and sometimes get it to come on. Thats how I figured out what the problem was. -

Yeah its possible the contacts could be the problem but from what I read the ribbon cable is a common problem with these Pioneers. -
Pioneer Head Unit Not Showing Anything
dadillac27 replied to Beanz's topic in Head Units-Processors and Eq's
The ribbon cable was gonna be like $40 but I found someone selling the same model on ebay for $40 w/out a face or any accessories. I bought that and put my face and trim ring on it. Now I have my old radio for spare parts. -

Car Shut Off
dadillac27 replied to 95pimpalass's topic in Engine and Performance - Anything for that couple extra horses!
its either not getting spark or not getting fuel. My guess without seeing the car would be fuel pump. and btw its not the starter as stated above if the car cranks. -
Google is your friend!!!! An oscilloscope (commonly abbreviated to scope or O-scope) is a type of electronic test equipment that allows signal voltages to be viewed, usually as a two-dimensional graph of one or more electrical potential differences (vertical axis) plotted as a function of time or of some other voltage (horizontal axis). The oscilloscope is one of the most versatile and widely-used electronic instruments. [1] Oscilloscopes are widely used when it is desired to observe the exact wave shape of an electrical signal. In addition to the amplitude of the signal, an oscilloscope can measure the frequency, show distortion, and show the relative timing of two related signals. Oscilloscopes are used in the sciences, medicine, engineering, telecommunications, and industry. General-purpose instruments are used for maintenance of electronic equipment and laboratory work. Special-purpose oscilloscopes may be used for such purposes as adjusting an automotive ignition system, or to display the waveform of the heartbeat. Originally all oscilloscopes used cathode ray tubes as their display element, but modern digital oscilloscopes use high-speed analog-to-digital converters and computer-like display screens and processing of signals. Oscilloscope peripheral modules for general purpose laptop or desktop personal computers can turn them into useful and flexible test instruments.
