box design 6th order for 1 Sundown nsv3 12
cxbritton posted a topic in Subwoofers / Enclosuresokay so could anyone help me with a six order for this sub. It’s 1 12 so I don’t think size should be an issue I have a whole trunk Hey guys so I have 1 sundown nsv3 12 on a crescendo 3k in a 2008 Acura TL type s. I was wanting to get some help in building a design for it. I’m currently running my 3ft^3 box at 27hz slot port but I’ve noticed all the 150+ db builds have aero ports in the drivers side of the box and subs facing forwards or backwards. Kinda want to see want you guys think and I’m very open to trying 6th orders as well they just seem complicated Still need to get my 370amp alternator and 48 ah headway hooked up with 2 runs of 0 gauge so don’t mind the 4 gauge splitter lol
help with Mustang box build ( 2 sundown sa-10s)
dbKilla posted a topic in Subwoofers / EnclosuresJust got my 2 Sundown SA-10 D4's in and am trying to figure an aero-ported box design tuned to 33-35hz for a 96' Mustang GT. Available trunk dimensions are 33"w, 20"d and 15"h. Jacob (from Sundown) recommended 1 cu. ft. per chamber but I'm hearing a lot of others having great results with larger enclosures, which leaves me wondering which is best? Also I am unsure if my type of car will affect the tuning of the box therefore leaving me having to tune higher/lower to achieve a true 33-35hz tone? They're going to be powered by a DB Drive 1800 @ 1ohm. It's a daily install hoping to reach a balance of spl and sq. I listen to mostly rock/metal with a little bit of dubstep, rave and rap (if that matters). If your reading this and have box building knowledge, please help me figure this out. I've played around with numbers but can't seem to get it right. Thanks in advance!!!
i have a 2005 impala. i am needing help designing a box for 2 12 sa-12 sundown audio could someone give me design specs. thanks
how does this look?
mattc3366 posted a topic in Subwoofers / Enclosuresi just got around to remeasuring my car and this is what i came up with. 16h x 30 width x 38 depth. subs are going to be 2 obsidian 15s, subs up port back. was going to do areo ports but now that i found more room i think i can go with slot port and will also be cheaper! its going into a civic hatchback with no back seats. should i do a bottom port ( whats in the screen shot) or do a port with 0 common walls and put it in the middle of the box. it will have about 6-8 inches from the hatch but could also go more if i slide the box closer to the seats. how does this design look using a bottom port? EDIT: i wouldnt have crazy loading issues with having the subs slighty off set would I? because 30 width wouldnt fit them side by side
