124FLHX
I like the JL HD900/5...it is what it is and regardless of the power (11-14v) u feed it or the load it sees (1-8ohms) it'll give you +100X4 and 500x1. I got a couple on sale at cartoys.com for $789.99 about a week ago.
Ford302Redneck
240 watts is a decent amount of power. And in a good enclosure, will have good output.

Watch the bass
http://www.audison.e...php?Section=SR5 this is a good one....just retails for like $600 minimum i guess the problem with 5ch amps is that they are really lacking in the +1 channel category i want to have enough power for the 8s and 240w i dont think will barely make them move or find a used Rockford Fosgate Power 1000...like this one(for specs http://www.sonicelec...OWER-1000.html) 1000 watts on the sub channel The Power 1000, or LRx 5.1 K in used. Saw a Power 1000 last week for 380 $ on E-Bay. Quote "in the abundance of water, the fool is thirsty" Bob Marley

siccostyle
Memphis "Big Belle" or "Baby belle" imo the best 5 channel amps out there. The "Big Belle" does over 1000 watts (or more depending on which model you get) on just the sub side. Great amps very reliable and can be found for a decent price. siccostyle
I have one right now that puts out 1100 at 1ohm on the sub side. The one that does 500 or so at 1ohm is the smaller of the belles its called the baby belle. I personally like the older mch and st models I think they look better then the new black hybrid models and you can find an mch or st Big belle (1000+ at 1ohm) for $300 or so. They are not always that cheap but if you look around and can be patient they can be found.
