1loudhoe Posted February 5, 2011 Report Posted February 5, 2011 considering st350 selenium's or crescendo xst2's but here's the odd kinda question. looking at the build that gave me the idea to install 2 in the front console of my 02 tahoe... the installer but 4 whip audio mids in the truck and 2 st350s but the st350's are running mono..is it better to install them running mono vs stereo? i figure for stereo imaging they should be in stereo. sure some of you know the build im talking about but i didnt really wanna post links to another forum trying to understand why the supertweeters were wired in mono cuz im lost
Sir-Lancelot Posted February 6, 2011 Report Posted February 6, 2011 If your putting them in the center console with each firing to opposite sides you wont hear them in stereo anyway. That's prolly why they have them in mono, IMO> Why not put them in the kicks? When I was testing different ST's I put them in some Q-logic kick panels in my Yukon. They are going to sound like crap the way you plan to install them. 2001 Yukon XL Sitting on 35 x 12.50 x 20, XD Monsters Headunit: Clarion DXZ785USB Front: B&C 10NW64 10" Neodymium Woofer, Crescendo XST2 Rear: B&C 8NDL51 8" Neodymium Woofer, Crescendo XST2 Mids & Highs Amps: MB Quart DSC 4125, MB Quart DSC 480 Subs: 4 18" SSA ZCONS Sub Amps: 4 GP3K Pro Electrical: Iraggi 260a, 3 tejcurrent 240a, tejcurrent quad bracket Kinetik - 6 HC2400 My Build Log
mlstrass Posted February 8, 2011 Report Posted February 8, 2011 for just getting loud mono is fine as I "assume" perfect imaging and SQ aren't your real goal... I run the XST's and have been very happy with them
