JordanSchumaker
What are some good ways to secure your audio in your car besides from the basics like alarms? I read somewhere that using different kinds of screw heads is a good idea, from just using the phillips and flathead screws?? And what are some ways that a could bolt down my box and amp to the trunk or would that be kind of pointless because you could just unscrew/unbolt it? Also could you guys give me some tips on what you guys do to protect your stuff? Edited February 5, 2011 by JordanSchumaker
finkster
I usually hire this guy to watch over my car. But for real. Of course most thieves can get the things you try to protect. The point is to try and slow him down. He doesn't want to do it all night, and a lot of the time ends up damaging your equipment. An alarm is key in slowing him down, along with a frustrating long dis assembly of everything inside. Slowing him down makes a lot of sense because i guess you cant stop a theif if he really wants something.

EclipseChris
I have these to mount the sub and amp and batt hold downs. Burglars don't usually have the right heads to remove these. I also spend extra time designing my system to look completely stock. My hatch also takes 2 people to open, but thats fuckin annoying... Quote i resolve to be a nicer moderator. Tercel build R.I.P. Do you just hold them down with a metal bar?

dereileak
when I mounted my amps to my van, I used bolts with tightining washers behind and it has two bolts, that way when they start to turn, if they have the right size bolt, most burglars don't carry a full on bolt set, then it will stop once you turn it so far I will be out there withing 1 bolt being started, that's my deterrent Quote 2006 Mazda3 Hatchback Black 5 Spd ManualPioneer 4300DVD2 Sundown SA-12 (34hz Tune, 3.22 cubes, 14.5 inches per cube, Triple Baffle)Kicker 10ZX2500.1 (2845 RMS) Sub AmpKicker 11ZX650.4 (705 RMS) Mid Amp -- (3 Amps)Kicker KQ3 Active CrossoverKicker KQ30 EqualizerKicker 09QS60.2 Components (Woven Carbon Cones)Kicker 09QS65.2 Components (Woven Carbon Cones) - (3 Sets)2/0 Gauge Electron Beam Technologies (3 Runs, 2 +, 1 -) 1/0 Gauge KNU Kollasal Flex (1 Run for -) 300 Ft Kicker X-Series 16 Gauge Speaker WireXS Power D3400 (Rear)XS Power D3100 (Front)Singer Externally Regulated Alternator (Being Built)+ The Love for Car Audio and BASS <3UBL Build Log <------- Click Here-------> Normal Build Log (For Comments)
