Recommended Posts

Ok so today i had streo half way up..listening to youngjeezy put on

my streo is pioneer flip out monitor..pioneer 4ch amp with piooner speakers in back and fusion splits in front (budget speakers for now)

sub is soundstream splx 15 runing off a dtr 1700d

now i have my headunit set to 125hz for speakers and the cross over set slightly higher..anway i was listen at mayb 18/30 (30 most i go up to) and i heard lil POP from my mids..followed by HUGE pop from tweeters and no more treblle but bass was ok..so naturally i turend it on mute..and then BOOM massive massive distroted bass..that was poping all sorts frequencies (even tho ipod out)and speakers were quiet makeing no noise..so i pulled over half way from home and more loud poping from sub (alot louder then iv ever ran them)..so cut all the wires (all i had was poket knife) and undid the sub wires and remote.. then restart car tweeters were like poping at something like 100hz crazy low and midbass just constant..so undid them aswell..

now quickly i rang who installed it all i always get shops cause of warenty then they wanna see me on weekend and check it out for warenty issue ect..i always let them do install then when home properly tune and say i never touched it..now if it pioneer headunit shit itself and fucked whole streo..will they replace it ALL amps subs speakrs the lot? or just headunit..if it was bad ground SHOULD the shop replace it all..if it was one the amps..should the company replace it all?? ect..

sorry long read...sorry if miss spelled i suck at english..and im PISSED

If it was installed by a shop and shit is going wrong, they should have to replace everything that broke because of their error. Unless they can trace the problem to something like you said where the headunit malfunctioned and brought down everything with it, then maybe through the company? Not really sure.

I would say they should cover it but, they might give you trouble for cutting the wires.

I wonder do you talk like this in real life as well?

If you're going to give somebody shit about grammar, at least post something useful in the thread. Makes you look like a dick when you only post to criticize someone without adding anything to benefit the topic at hand. Not supporting bad grammar, just saying damn man too many people chime in about this without adding to the conversation. It's the internet, not everyone takes the initiative to use proper grammar, the main thing is that they can get their point across. You can understand what he's trying to say right?

Only thing I can really say is to be completely honest with them. Look them in the eyes, stand still, and explain every little detail to them...

I learned to do everything by myself because I hate not being in control of something. I know exactly how every single wire is routed, how every soldered joint looks, and exactly where my crossover point, etc are set at. By learning these things and doing them on your own, you shouldn't have to worry too much. By letting the shop do the install, you HAVE TO TRUST them and their work. By this, they should stand by the install job that they did, and help you out as much as possible...

But then again, you never know. The shop people could just be dicks and say that the car was 110% fine when it left, and it broke while it was in your hands.... <_<
