BigOso
Well I worked on it a bit more today and here is where i got so far. I am probably going outside and sand the dash again and wet sand the other panels so I can primer sealer them and then get some color on them. Now a quick question. I forgot to use adhesion promoter on the dash. Should I sand off all the primer then redo it with adhesion promoter or can I just spray it over the primer coat and go forward? 2006 SPLMAX Bass Race Competitor of the Year 2006 Bass Race 156 points Team DC Sounds Team Maxxsonics Team HR Team Second Skin Team Hooker Audio http://dcsoundlab.com/ 2006 Bass Race 156 points 2008 Starting from scratch

BigOso
David I am a complete noob when it comes to this so I wouldnt even have known what to look for. Things have changed since that post. I have decided, with the help of my wife, to leave it the satin/flat look instead of trying to make a glossy finish. After all the parts are painted I am going to try and find a flat clear in aerosol which is definately going to be a challenge. Thanks for the suggestion though homie. 2006 SPLMAX Bass Race Competitor of the Year 2006 Bass Race 156 points Team DC Sounds Team Maxxsonics Team HR Team Second Skin Team Hooker Audio http://dcsoundlab.com/ 2006 Bass Race 156 points 2008 Starting from scratch

BigOso
I might try recovering the headliner instead of painting it. Might go hit up a joan fabric to see what they got in stock. It gonna be kind of ghetto since I cant pull out the whole headliner but I should be able to make it look pretty good. I also ordered some goodies today from maxxsonics. When they arive I can get started on my door panels. 2006 SPLMAX Bass Race Competitor of the Year 2006 Bass Race 156 points Team DC Sounds Team Maxxsonics Team HR Team Second Skin Team Hooker Audio http://dcsoundlab.com/ 2006 Bass Race 156 points 2008 Starting from scratch

roscoe1129
You probably should sand it back down, BUT it depends on how rough you are with your car....But out there in the heat I would hate to have your primer and top color bubble or peal on ya....My 2cents. Looking good though man! keep it up! BigOso
Well Roscoe I hope this doesnt come back to bite me in the ass but I bypassed the sanding and used the promoter on the first coat of primer. I hope to be done with priming tommorow on the dash but I wont be able to put color on it because I have some work to do on my box. Tommorow I am going to extend the side panels to overlap and completely seal to the b pillar. I was at first trying to save the stock panels but since I am painting them its not big deal now. 2006 SPLMAX Bass Race Competitor of the Year 2006 Bass Race 156 points Team DC Sounds Team Maxxsonics Team HR Team Second Skin Team Hooker Audio http://dcsoundlab.com/ 2006 Bass Race 156 points 2008 Starting from scratch
