DodgerCannon
Hi all, Which would be better for my lv5s? One 1500d per coil or strap them and series the coils? I know amps arnt as efficient when strapped but would it be a noticable difference? Thanks guys.
EclipseChris
Its smarter to strap. Its pretty hard to get each amp putting out the exact same output. If the coils get different amounts of power each then they will not last long. Quote i resolve to be a nicer moderator. Tercel build R.I.P. Eclipse build Old New V-Dub My feedback. hdorre
Strap is easier and smarter because the gain, HPF, and LPF are synced to the slave amp. DodgerCannon
If the coils get different amounts of power each then they will not last long. Sorry, that is NOT true. I know this isn't true.... its easy to match the amps anyway with just a DMM. The crossovers can be controlled by my head unit also so matching those will be no problem. I just saw that and thought adlib, that is all, oh and this On a serious note, dont some people prefer to not strap amps, as you could be unknowingly clipping the slave amp Quote ¿ǝɯɐƃ ǝɥʇ Trolls never learn............
