S Dime 420
Yeah, me and my buddy were bored last week and decided to go drifting in the snow.. I held a drift for too long and ended up smashing into a tree in a church parking lot and now my grill is smashed up and my gas gauge either reads full or empty.. So now I can't tell if I have gas.. Can anybody help lol? Quote If anybody in the Sacramento area has a vehicle for sale for less than $1,500 get at me. I'm open to almost anything that runs. crispy_chick3n
fuel gauges are simple beasts to tackle. almost every gauge works off of resistance. this goes to a float in the tank, and the float slides on a copper plate, which, depending on where the contact is on the copper, gives you a varied resistance which gives you your gauge reading. as it is these parts are non serviceable. you might get lucky and be able to buy just the sending unit, or you might have to buy anew pump. most of the time you cant buy just the sending unit. but either way you are going to have to drop the tank, and while you drop the tank it is worth the extra money to just replace the whole pump. best of luck to ya Quote This page is crispy_chick3n approved. © crispy_chick3n inc
