It doesn't really work that way, as in reality you are wiring a S8 + S4 + S4, what the ohm load will really be is beyond me. I think the 2nd option would be best, but you're using 3 different brand woofers. Different manufacturers don't put the exact same resistance to each coil. One sub might actually be 8.1 ohm, while the D4 could actually be D3.7 or D4.2. Not to mention other T/S specs, and the motor force of each woofer will be different (not exact same size magnet). These people wouldn't discourage you from doing something good, they are just looking out for the well-being of your equipment. All equipment which is (as far as we know) in good condition. Trying these crazy, random mismatching might render the woofers or the amplifier useless beyond being a paperweight. I vote that you sell all of the gear that you have an invest in 1 good sub and 1 good amp, or two matching subs and a good amp. maybe you haven't heard a system better than what you have at the moment, but I guarantee there is more quality available to you, you just need to take some of these options into consideration. Or don't listen to us, your stuff will work decent. Might blow, but we kinda told ya so. What happens when you wire an 8ohm coil in either series or parallel to a 4ohm coil, and then series/parallel to another 4ohm coil. I don't think it would work too well. @OP, I guess that possibility could work, I didn't really think of it like that. Is your box prefab ?
