civicman Posted February 25, 2011 Report Share Posted February 25, 2011 I have four xxx 4000 on 4 dc lvl 518eens at 17 volts doing 55.8 on a burps and 55 on music u need alts and batts and your good You can never go wrong with SoundStream imo anyway. just wanted to ask for some of you guys opinion on this amp. i need to upgrade for my current setup and also the amp needs to be able to do the hard work on the next setup i plan to do. so im kind of future proofing my system so i dont have to keep swaping amps. i was thinking of getting a Soundstream XXX-4000D. is this a decent amp to go with? to start with it will be running 2 15" Fusion NV subs at a 2ohm load, so according to soundstream that will be 2200WRMS total, resulting in 1100WRMS to each sub (which is there RMS power). then the plan is to get two 15" or two 18" N2 BTL's dual 1ohm, so i can wire them up for a 1ohm load, which would mean the amp pushes 2000WRMS to each (4000WRMS total). what do you guys think? any other suggestions are welcome, and appreciated. I'm thinking the XXXs are going to be best bang for buck where you're at, lol true, thats cool. yeah i was thinking the same thing, had a look around the other day, got a price for XXX4000D. RRP- $2500 (or something like that) im a regular customer to the guy i talked to, and i should be able to get one for $1300-1500NZD. thats seems an algood price. would you also think that?
