Here this is about the best I can come up with. This is the rack in the down position. The actuator, you see on the bottom, is laying down and fully extended. The center point on the rack is where you'd need to attach the rod or arm to. Then also attach it to the actuator end. So while it's extended it keeps the arm pivoted out, and thus the rack down.

When you compress or bring in the actuator, it draws that arm in. The arm is solid so it has to force it's pivot point somewhere. The actuator is already moving, so it forces the racks pivot point. With the slide arms on the rack, it allows the rack to move up. If the rack was solid it wouldn't move at all. It would probably break the actuator or bend the arm. So when the actuator draws in or compresses, it moves the arm, which forces the rack up.

Not sure if it would work but it makes sense in my mind and I would think it would work.

looks like itd work to me. just gotta make sure the rod wouldnt try to shift the actuator. just needs good mounting

LONG TIME NO BUILD!!!!! Sup SMD! How's it been!! Been out for a long time! Finally got some funds to start workin on my baby again! So as some of u may know a while back I purchased a SAZ-200.4 for my Porsche build. But my dad and friends convinced me other wise to install it in Burban instead since it's been collecting dust in my room. We decided to do something about that and get some 0 gauge and a few RCAs to install this beast. But of course we need one other BIG part to b able to get this BEAST of an amp to play happily and that's an alt. I need to upgrade my alt. cuz I currently have a DC Power 190 amp OEM Series which I'm going to be selling to b able to afford a 300-350 amp alt. not sure which one or what brand yet. But it has to b good! Another thing. I need a new HU cuz one of the channels on my Clarion NZ500 is blown. So I'm gonna need a new HU, I'm also aiming for a double din. I know. A double din doesn't just pop into the stock dash of this truck so I'm gonna have to get creative and make one of these fit beautifuly in there as if it were meant to b there. And last but not least I need to ditch that old amp rack that was never finished and completely redesign and get new fresh ideas on what I can do with 2 beast ass amps like those in such a small space. But yeah guys! I'm back! And ready to work again! I have a few pics to show, like good old days already. Check em out.

Got the wiring order in! and also to save wiring we got a small XS Power D375 to put next to the amps. so now we have total of 3 batts. i know we need a bigger alt no matter what. also Got the new amp rack base made, With the 3500 and 200.4 mounted, they look pretty! Then decided to cut ventilation holes out and also make it look pretty by lighting up inside of amp and plexi over it (but that hasn't happened yet) check out the progress!

Also I forgot to mention that I have a problem with Power and Ground. Does anyone know where I could find some 90 degree 0 to 4 gauge reducers or just some 90 degree 0 gauge terminals?? Cuz I have a tight spot:

On the 200.4 could you use right angle rca's and then slide it over a little more to the left to get more room?
