I have seen a buddy of mine turn out a kickass set of the same year door panels with an 8" midbass, and a 6.5 inch component set. I would definately go with 2 sets in each door. Good work BTW, turning out awesome.

My System:

Pioneer AVH-P3200BT

4-Dayton 7 inch reference series (front doors)

8-Onkyo 3/4 inch tweeters (dash)

1-Sundown Audio 100.4D (mids/highs)

2-18" BTL's (for now)

Crescendo 3kwp (for sale)

Complete rebuild coming soon...

I am really not sure what I am looking at here.

Did you cut the stock grill out and fiberglass in a flat piece? It looks like you stuck the stock grill in from the back and fiberglassed it. And I see if a whole lot of resin. Is there any mat in that?

Resin by itself is weak and brittle. It should be used in small amounts. Don't slap it on thick.

I would have cut out the stock grill, then added the rings for your speakers. Once those are secure, you can stretch material over them and glass that.

You need to have the whole plan laid out and make sure you know where everything is going to be placed.

I will look for the pics of a similar door panel.

Here is a pic of one of the front door panels.

8" MTX sub he used for mid-bass and an Orion component set w/x-over. (Tweeter is just set in for pics).

And then below that pic will be a link to some of the build pics.

EDIT:: These were before I got a decent camera. So image quality sucks. Sorry.

i know that its weak and what not.. i glued a peice of cardboard i know i should of used a piece of sheet or material but i just wanted that part flat,...... its pretty strong i dont want the speakers TOO close to that corner because if i did i wouldnt have done what i did and your legs kind of cover the speaker, im going to have both up near the top but im not going to make it look like shit.. lol thnx for your feedback!!
