Does it take strain of the amplifier? And how much better is the 4v and 2v? big or small difference. Guest Posted March 11, 2011 Report Posted March 11, 2011 a higher voltage lets you turn the gain up less on your amplifiers, which will let it output a tad cleaner signal since it doesnt have to boost the voltage up as much as opposed to 2v
