OrionStang Posted March 14, 2011 Report Posted March 14, 2011 I've got a potential buyer for one of my dual 1.4vc subs, he has a Hifonics 1610D. Does anybody have experience running this amp under 1 ohm? He's got good electrical and I personally think its ok, but what do you all think? SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread
Crich03 Posted March 18, 2011 Report Posted March 18, 2011 After impedance rise he will probably be over 1 ohm anyway Woofer:Fully loaded(3inch coil)15 inch Fi BL 4 cubic ft box tuned to 32hz Bass Amp: Audioque 1200d(just purchased a Sundown Audio SAX 1200d) Highs/Mids Amp: Alpine PDX 4.100 Door Speakers: Alpine Type R and S 6.5's Vehicle: 2008 Mazda 6 stock alt and soon to be XS Power S1200 0gauge ran from batt to cap and 4 gauge to both amps
Loudcivic Posted March 18, 2011 Report Posted March 18, 2011 After impedance rise he will probably be over 1 ohm anyway that really dont matter. people run .5 and see over 1 but its not recommended to run .5 for daily even after rise your over 1 ohm. its just a lot of stress on the amp. if he has good electrical and knows that it could possibly mess his amp up anytime then hes good. i have seen the brutus amps at .5 and they ran fine so 2015 silverado crew cab nothing atm but soon...
