LZTYBRN
Quick question...Are the front and rear RCA outputs of a head unit going to put out the same signals, as long as you don't touch the fader? Reason I ask is, I'm thinking it will be a lot cheaper to use one amp for the whole car, rather than one for the front and one for the back. (or two amps instead of three or four) Edited March 16, 2011 by LZTYBRN
bumonskateboard6
If you have a 4 channel amp it has 4 inputs so that's enough for the front and rear outputs from the deck. LZTYBRN
I'm going to have mids and highs on separate channels, so it's not enough. And that's not what I was asking...Just want to know if the front output from the H/U is the same signal as the rear output. Am I correct in my assumption that they're the same signals as long as you don't mess with the fader?
LZTYBRN
Should be a simple question. Anyone?
Superjay
unless your head unit offers 4.1 digital processing it's 2.1 or stereo...front and rear will be the same signal Quote Principal JTech Consulting - Leader in 12-Volt Training and Product PlanningIt's not about how much power you have, but how well you use it
Guest
they will output the same voltage. what do you mean you will have mids and highs on separate channels? do you mean one speaker per channel? and also, what "isnt enough"?
LZTYBRN
Sweet thanks. I will be having 2-4 speakers per channel. When I said it wasn't enough, I was referring to when bumonskateboard said that 4 channels will be enough to run all front and back speakers.
