jack
Can the Type-R handle 750 RMS, ported or sealed? the 750 rms is not the problem, your peak is what is going to kill that sub; if you want good tight bass go with the sealed, the ported type r has a little bit of flutter. I have had the best resuls with longevity on these subs if i stick to the manf specs on the ported and run with about 500 rms to each sub, -and definately give a good break in time. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...showtopic=29213 "sleeper build" (1) DC AUDIO Level4XL 10 (2) PowermasterD2700 batteries ALL FOR SALE TEAM DC AUDIO TEAM DIRTFLOORPOOR

I've heard terrible things about type-r's being sealed. Don't seal a type-r. Go ported. Don't listen to that guy at all. Yes, they will handle 750 rms. But you have to be careful. No clipping, set the gain correctly. My brother has his 12" type-r in a 3 cube box tuned to 35 hz on around 1,000 watts rms and it's been handling that for about 6 months now.
