dog24fret
I was wondering the best way to sound deadin the outer skin of car doors. The car is a 99 Ford Escort.I will be deading the whole car.So I was wondering if this is good or bad. Will use expandable foam in the pillars of the doors and roof.Fatmat on the inner door frames and sound deading spray on the outer door skin then fatmat on the floor, trunk, roof of the rest of the car. Then undercoat the car as well.If this is to much tell me or any opinions of better ways to do this is will be very helpfull thanks. lowsound10
Well to be honest you may not need all of that unless your gunna upgrade alot in the future. unless im wrong someone could correct me. but i only used 25 square feet so far its just you put it in the right spots and it stops but i need more because i am upgrading. if that all makes sense. dog24fret
No there is no upgrades planned for the future. She just want to have a quieter ride.Unless the wife is unhappy then I'll be unhappy lol.Now for this setup and the goal will it take all of what I got or tone down abit.As it is apparent this is the first time ever doing this honestly. The subs will be sealed and 1 to 1.25cu ft do i need anything else for the trunk. The subs are in a prefab box with very little rattle.I would like to think everyone for the help. lowsound10
if you want it quieter theres different stuff to get than deadner. deadner just gets rid of the rattles helps a lil with road noise but not much. if thats what your lookin for.
