I was going to have Dave build me another 18" but it's going to cost me $350 easily, for that price I can get two almost new 15" AQ HDC2.5's and I can get a 3rd one for practically free ($100 new off my brother, $500 for all 3) I however am now sure what I can fit in my jeep :-/ two 18's will require 4-6cft per while the 15's require much less. I was going to use 2 AP1500.1D amplifier one per 18" and run them @ 1500RMS/3200RMS @ 1oHM. or I could use the 3 15's and buy my friends Alpine MRP-2000 for $350 (it does 2338 @ 2 OHM) I'd be running 2200RMS to the 3 15's and 3200RMS to the two 18's. I want to be LOUD move lots of air, my 18 gets almost twice the XMAX as my brother 15" so that must play a HUGE roll. im so up in the ropes about this.... I CANT decide I really wanted a Dual 18" setup but dont want it to not be enough and want more if that happens I wont have enough room without walling and thats a problem. My current 18" is EXTREMELY loud and sounds great, but it doesnt move much air, I need to rebuild my box so maybe I should do that before I decide. I just don't want to buy another 18" only to be dissapointed I guess IF i have to I can do a 3 18" wall behind my second row seat I've seen it in newer jeeps so its possible. Can anyone vouch 2 18" @ 3200RMS tuned to 30-32hz @ 8-10cft will be louder than 3 15" @ 2200RMS tuned to 32-34hz @ 7cft. Dan2427 Posted March 23, 2011 Report Share Posted March 23, 2011 I have two 18s in a little over 10 cubes with a newer model AQ3500.1d at .5 ohm moves a decent amount of air.
