RooTxBeeR Posted March 27, 2011 Report Posted March 27, 2011 Right now I have 2 amps, a Jensen 600watt multichannel amp, a MTX roadthunder 400watt 2 channel. I have 2 10" jbl in a sealed box with no cneter divider(I got it for free, if I had purchased or made I would make sure they have they own box). My question is, what do you guys think would be better, to run the multichannel jensen to 2 channels, or put the mtx bridged to 425 watts, and put both subs wired together, instead of seperate channels. RooTxBeeR Posted March 28, 2011 Author Report Posted March 28, 2011 On the speaker it says 90-260, on the owners manual says 260 watts. The mtx will do 425 Bridged at 4 Ohms. I have a few question about that, does that mean it has to be wired to 4 ohms, or else it wont be stable? These subs are DVC 4 Ohm subs, so I would need to wire the 2 subs in a connected series, meanings roughly 213 watts per sub if it is rated. Am I correct on my calculations?
