Any suggestions except dynamat?

You should be able to move the carpet lining on the inside of the trunk lid out of the way and either find a hole to screw to remove so the piece that rattles can come off, or it's held on with a type of double sided sticky tape that's like freakin' glue. If that's the case just google how to remove it and once you get it off, you can do a couple of things.

1. Buy some dynamat on ebay and apply it

2. go to walley-world and get a ton of cotton balls (or some insulation from Lowe's) and cover the area between the trim piece (i'm assuming it's where the keyhole is) and the trunk lid with insulation, cotton balls (they really do work for small plastic parts), whatever you use. Just make sure if there's sticky tape that there's a place to adhere it to

Just my 2 cents having spent only about $150 on dynamat used that and insulation to dampen my entire car (Honda Pilot)

old socks, cotton balls, insulation..all stuff i've seen used haha. use a spray adhesive if you do use any of those though, so it keeps it's shape and doesn't all settle

Well that audiotechnix stuff is $45 for 25 square feet. I could manage that. I don't like the idea of putting socks and such in there...to rigged for me haha. I used that neoprene stuff on the plastic piece.

Also, check out YouTube's 1911 thing...lol
