Was listing to my 3500 12's the other day and noticed that at low volume one of my subs had a dragging coil sound. I instantly got pissed off! These things had less then 1 hour playing time. To make a long story short I pulled the sub and sent it to DD and this is what they found.

Kevin at DD called me and asked if I had been shootin a BB gun lately. I told him I don't even own one.

This is what a BB does to a vc when it is stuck between the vc and magnets

And a pic of them both.

Pretty good photoshopping considering the shadow on the wall. Just a double stacked z motor. With 6" coils.

Still not sure. Kevin at DD said the don't have any bb's of any kind in there building. I don't own a bb gun. I uses ball bearings at work but they are much bigger then the old quicksilver .177's.

Thank you sir. I love the dry blue cones myself.

I've got a pic of a 3", 4" and the 6" coils if you wanna see those as well.

I've heard that DD subs are indestructible, but I don't think that means to shoot BBs at them..... lol

I wonder how that got in there? Weird. Hope it didn' hurt your amp, shorting across the coils like that, but I don't guess it would be any worse than "blowing" a sub or playing it with a bad coil.

Man those battery terminals are SAWEET!

I think I have already seen it, and I have to say that 6" vs 4" is a beast lol

DD always say they are not making anything, until they put something new out :D
