I know which songs SOUND good, but the problem is, I don't know what the frequency of those songs are. We tried a hairtrick the other day, but as soon as the bass hit real low, one of the amps went into protect (I obviously had the volume too high for that note). I've set my gains around our peak frequency, and know where the volume should be to impress the meter, but haven't messed with the real low stuff much as of yet. well, you can try with tones man, i can send you tones from 30 to 40 hz, play them and see if the subs bottom out or something, that way, you can know from wich frequency your car plays and even set better the subsonic filter, after that, i would send you some nice songs on he frequencies your car might do some hairtricks I´m the SPL Gains topic creator!! wanna get louder?? check this: SPL Gains. Now that my little"Tomboy" has grown some, she doesn't any interest in helping me with cars anymore, she is 16 now. It was fun while it lasted! I posted pics of her helping me on here, but the Horn-Dogs got the post locked (thanks guys). He's 13, and I know from experience (I have two older kids) that, as they get older, the less they want to hang out with dad, and the harder it is to impress them or get them interested in something with you. I'm just enjoying it while it lasts, I guess. And it stinks that someone would say something bad enough about your daughter to get the post locked...... ShooterK2 Posted April 30, 2011 Author Report Share Posted April 30, 2011 Trying a cup trick, like all the fancy-folks on YouTube...Just messing around before work this morning: That was with the same 53 hz tone that also produced this: First burp of the day was 151.2, but of course I didn't have the camera rolling yet...... This was with the meter on the windshield, driver's window down (MidwestSPL style). Rolling driver's window up (sealed, DB Drag style) gets us a 150.1. Decided not to use the Rockford amp on the mids. We had a Sony (yeah, I said it.....) collecting dust, so we threw it in there. It sounds fine on the Memphis mids. Who says you have to give up your spare, jack, and lugwrench if you have a wall?
