Does it make a difference which way I mount the port? Does it have to be on the same wall as the sub itself? These are things I don't know has a bearing on performance. That's how wide the tire is. the 2nd number denotes the height/profile of the tire. And the third numbe is inch size. So if it's 245/40/18 then it's 245 millimeters ( I think that's the unit they measure in ) wide 40 millimeters tall, and 18"s in diameter. So, a 345/40 would have almost a 5.5" sidewall. My 245/40 have a 3.86" sidewall. That's an overall diameter difference of 4" I would do sub back and port back. If you wanted to port through the rear deck, you could make mounts for the awroports out of MDF to bolt them down and secure them. You have a PM coming!
