marquettefan247 Posted April 5, 2011 Report Posted April 5, 2011 Hey, I am installing a XO Vision (XOD1736) 7" Widescreen Enhanced Resolution Multimedia Receiver in a 1996 Saturn SL2. Wired everything up but the brake wire. I know this is the wire to allow dvds to play while driving. So in accessory everything runs fine. Once I turn it on it says DVD with a blue screen and i cant get it off of that. I took the brake wire and hooked it in with the ground wire and no difference. rubbernutz1 Posted April 5, 2011 Report Posted April 5, 2011 well sum decks will work that way and some wont. my old clarion screen deck i had to hook that wire to a switch. every time i wanted to watch a dvd on it i had to flip the switch on then back off to send a grounded signal to the deck to make it work. try that and see of it works all you need is a cheap lil toggle switch for it.

rubbernutz1 Posted April 5, 2011 Report Posted April 5, 2011 ? u lost me dude. just hook your power accessory and grounds up like you would normally but run the park brake wire to the toggle switch then run a wire from the toggle switch to a ground. more or less the same way u have it now except u have a switch in line of the brake wire
