duff_thrust Posted April 6, 2011 Report Posted April 6, 2011 Sooo... here is my 1999 Tahoe Audioque rebuild. My old system consisted of 2 Audioque HDC3 15's Dual 1's powered by a Crescendo 3kwp that I owned for ehh a couple months before I woke up to this last October. So there goes the funding for all the extras lol... Crackheads got me pretty good, they got both subs, the box, and the Crescendo. All while causing 1200 dollars in damage for window repair. And why they broke out 2 windows is beyond me. So after the insurance company got everything straightened away I was down another 700 for the deductible to get the new windows in and ordering some extras to get it all up and running again. They replaced most of what I had with new AQ 15's dual 1's, and 1 Aq 2200d. They sent me a little cash to make up the difference in price of the Crescendo to the AQ 2200. So time to build a new box... I was thinkin something in the 8 to 9 cubes range under the window line, subs up, port back, and tuned really low. So after some math I came up with 8.47 cubes after all displacement tuned to 32 hertz would fit perfectly.

duff_thrust Posted April 6, 2011 Author Report Posted April 6, 2011 Hands were too dirty to snap shots of cutting and construction. But heres a basic slideshow of the "semi" finished product. Granted I still didn't know at this point where I am going to put my 2 AQ 2200d's and I have figured out what I'm going to do to complete the top baffle but I just don't have the cash to do this just yet. It will be a mid summer project when I have some more funds.

duff_thrust Posted April 6, 2011 Author Report Posted April 6, 2011 That is a big ass port. Whats the box tuned to? 32 hertz. My tahoe was peaking at 50hz before with my old box tuned to 37 hertz. So I decided maybe I can tune a little lower and see what it does. It slams on the lows and plays full range pretty nicely too.
duff_thrust Posted April 6, 2011 Author Report Posted April 6, 2011 Black and white is hurting my brain. Yeah man I'm not sure why my phone was doing that. But these pics are off of a cell phone so sorry if the quality isn't quite up to par.
duff_thrust Posted April 6, 2011 Author Report Posted April 6, 2011 Anyway I have a Superstart EXTAGM 34/78 up front which is 120 amp hours I believe and 1000 cranking amps. I got it with my discount from my old part time job. And in the back I have a Kinetik 2400 with 2 runs of 1/0 Knuconceptz to the back and Big 3 all done as well in the Knuconceptz 1/0. Headunit is a Pioneer 5100ub And a Stinger Volt meter up front. This voltage is at the amps and at idle with a cold engine and system down most the way.
