Rebel4055
Leave that bass boost off on both the amp and HU, unless you have a scope do not even attempt to use it. Check the amp output to the sub(s) and also check the voltage to the amp with the car on. Quote Rest In Peace mother. Dinzu
Leave that bass boost off on both the amp and HU, unless you have a scope do not even attempt to use it. Check the amp output to the sub(s) and also check the voltage to the amp with the car on. Its always off on the HU but I will turn it off on the Amp and I will go check those two real quick and post back, appreciate the help man. Edit: Voltage at amp is 14.4 and on the sub output the highest it went on a sweep was 12.3 AC volts. Still no sub moving, so i'm assuming that means a voice coil is messed up? Rebel4055
So the amp is putting out and the sub isn't moving? Sounds like it's blown. Check the coils without the amp hooked up. rubbernutz1
push in on the cone to see if u hear a crackly popping sound. if u do the coil if screwed, time for a recone. but like the other dudes said put the coils on a meter and git the ohms reading. i just reconed a 18 RE aduio that did the same thing. turned out to be a melted spot in the coils and it had to be reconed. DannyV18
If you have access to another woofer, just do a simple swap to see if it's the sub for sure. If the second sub doesn't work then you know you have a bad amp. Two birds with one stone.
bumonskateboard6
The amp only went to 12.3 AC volts? That's only like 150 watts...granted that would move the sub though. Check the voice coils on your sub with your DMM and see what they read. Dinzu
Put a DMM in the first set of terminals and got 0.00 so the coil is blown. Guess I will be ordering the recone kit from FI today, thanks guys.

Dinzu
Glad we could help ya! Take it easy on it next time One more question, could going too low HZ wise one time do this? box is tuned to 31 hz and my subsonic was around 21-22 and it bottomed out pretty hard one time on a screwed song yesterday morning, then broke yesterday night barely hitting. Rebel4055
Could very much have done it in there. Set your subsonic next time to around 3-4hz below box tuning. Quote Rest In Peace mother.
