mr.p Posted April 9, 2011 Report Share Posted April 9, 2011 I would try a new speaker depending on your box size, you can have a small sealed side but you will need decent power and a sub with alot of motorforce (this is my problem right now i need power and xl's vs lvl 4s) and for the ported side you can build large and have more gain, and make the port large for even more peak spl, but it will drop off very fast... ORRR im sure you could build a very large sealed side allowing the sub to move off less power, and then i would use the ported side for the cone control and build it more so a 1:1 or 2:1 with a smaller port.
