Before I was rocking 2 RF P3's in the back of my Sonoma, I wanted bigger and louder so I went bigger and much louder.

The build is semi complete (functioning but not at full power) but due to weather/work I haven't been able to finish some things….

Note: This was our first ever box build so we where questioning the feasibility of the project.. But im glad we pushed on.

In the Beginning there was wood! (3 sheets of 3 quarter)

Then With a flash of lightning ans some manly grunting the first sheet exploded into 2 perfect face panels which would be joined together for all of eternity in sickness and in health till death do they part

Measuring the difference the for the saw so that the cut is accurate.

IMG_6225.jpg

The walls were the trickiest to cut as so we took unconventional methods into consideration.

The 2 Sides and the center Wall.

Next we cut the Port walls and assembled them.

Next we cut the top and bottom pieces and angled them accordingly.

Now that all the Pieces are cut we started to assemble, Every hole was pre-drilled and sunk .

We glued/screwed the walls to the backboard then put it on-top of the Bottom to see if it was gong to fit, It did (thankfully).

Next we had to assemble the Ports, I wasn't keen on having a board (in order to screw the part walls down) inside the part but it turned out great.

After the port came cutting the port openings in the top.

Once again with the unconventional methods.

IMG_6313.jpg

Once we drilled cut and then Jigged out the top we made sure it fit... (it did)

IMG_6330.jpg

Next came the decision as to how I was going to run the wire, Originally I was told to drill a hole and the run the wire out of the back then silicone the hole.... I didn't like that idea so I followed some of the designs I have saw on here and made terminals on the top of the box.

IMG_6336.jpg

IMG_6342.jpg

IMG_6331.jpg

Now that the terminals were on-top I wanted something to prevent anything from flying back and shorting out the subs so we made housings to go on-top (which are removable via 2 screws each).

IMG_6343.jpg

From here we Wired everything up and assembled the front.

IMG_6350.jpg

IMG_6348.jpg

IMG_6353.jpg

I didn't take any pics of cutting the holes out as it was done while I went on a parts run....

About right here is where I must say To Be Continued as the weather has prevented me of taking pictures thus far after this last image.

But these are the amps that are/will be pushing the subs. I have one hooked up as of now which terrorizes my stock alt and stock battery...

What I still need:

Batteries (XS prefer)

HO Alt

New Head Unit

Carpet or paint on the box (damn weather..)

On my way to get some breakfast this morning I took a few shots and made a little video in between the rain.

Note: the unfinishedness

One thing I forgot to mention is that I fully intend on replacing the seats, I was thinking of some Low back Bucket seats or something along the lines of those.

damn looks pretty good, def like the bolts/terminal idea better than just holes to run wires thru

that should get pretty loud

what are you covering it with carpet?

hit up DC for an ALT they are great alternators :good:
