Amp for single DC lvl 2 8

Alright guys, I'm looking to put a real small system in my escort wagon.

I have the same "system" that my gf's uncle gave me almost 4 years ago, and its bout finally time I get something better in there! It consists of a Kicker comp 12 wired up to a crunch p500.2. It's been keeping me happy, but change is good. <_<

I love the outdoors, and more often than not, my car is full of camping, biking, paddling, backpacking/etc gear. That being said, im going to keep it real small.

Eventually I will do two lvl 2 8's, but for now im just going to have one, for monetary reasons.

ANYWAY, I'm going to sell what i have now on craigslist so that should pay a little bit of what the new stuff will cost. (or if anyone is interested on here, shoot me a pm)

So, what amp would you recommend for a lvl 2 8 (d2 coil)? Price range, hopefully around 150+/-. Give me options, but cheaper is better. I know there are sacrifices for spending less, but I'm just looking for some suggestions.

Thanks guys, your time is much appreciated. :drinks:

I hate long signatures....

...what the fuck is wrong wiht you you fucking fuckity fuck fuck head...

Rockford Fosgate, P300-1. Amp is way underrated and will do the job perfectly. Onlinecarstereo.com - should be around 150-175

Rockford Prime 6.5's

Pioneer 6x9's

Alpine MRP-M500

10" Alpine Type R

Wouldnt you think it could take a little more than that?

It could but since it's temporary you might as well get a temporary amp. This is one of the cheapest amps i have ever seen from rockford. It's worth your money man

well, you can get an audiopipe 1500d for for around 150 bucks or so and it does real close to 1500 watts at 1 ohm, it would be overkill for 2 8s but keep the gain down, you can't really get a better amp for the price

My current 95 Jetta Build w/

pioneer h/u

2 RD Sonance 10's with flatwind coils

2 Audiopipe apsm 1500.1s

1 Hifonics Brutus Elite 60x4

1 XS d925

1 Stinger spv35

1 1000 amp lead acid

50 ft of 0/1 ofc from Audiotechnix

all powerbass components, and coaxils, 4 sets
