Jbabycsx
So Im planning to build the enclosure for my girls car tomorrow. The sub is a single DC level 2 8. I've been messing around with the Torres calculator to get the design planned. The only way I can get the tuning correct is to run a port that is extremely narrow. Like a half an inch! If I run an aero port what number should I shoot for for the port area per sq inch? 2000 GMC Sonoma AQ20 FTMFW! 4 DC XL 15's Cadence ZRS-C9 Infiniti Kappa 3.5's and 6x8's Bravox 6.5 components
fecupe2001
That SQ per cubic feet isn´t a rule at all, some subs like small port area no matter the box of the size, mostly beause of the xmax, i dunno about that sub but i tried a box for a single pioneer 8" sub , a very old crappy ppi series and sounded very nice with a 2" pvc port hahaha, i would shoot for at least a single 3" port for that sub if you don´t have enough space, 4" would be better i guess I´m the SPL Gains topic creator!! wanna get louder?? check this: SPL Gains. blownengine
I read around 9-14 square inches of port per foot using a tube. 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT (Yea its got a Hemi)Alpine CDA-105KnuKonceptz 0ga CCA Big 3 with Yellow Top 15" SoundQubed HDC3DC Audio 1.2K (Bass)Pioneer 6x9's (Front)Pioneer 6.5's (Rear)Kicker 3.5's (Dash)Sony amp on the highs.
