I am personally going with AA for my stuff because I can get a killer deal through two potential sources. I have heard a couple DD systems and they were impressive. I honestly believe that once you reach a certain level of performance with the big dogs in the subwoofer world they are all amazing in their own respects.

Anyhow I did some calculating and the cone area and air mass volume (1-way) of 6 12" Chaos' is: 2880cm^2 and 6048cm^3..

for a recap:

Surface area on (02) 18's combined: 2420 cm^2 || Air Mass Volume based on [Xmax(one direction) 30mm * Surface area] = 7260 cm^3

Surface area on (06) 12's combined: 2880 cm^2 || Air Mass Volume based on [Xmax(one direction) 21mm * Surface area] = 6048 cm^3

Surface area on (10) 10's combined: 3010 cm^2 || Air Mass Volume based on [Xmax(one direction) 18mm * Surface area] = 5418 cm^3

What physics I do know is telling me that: Air Mass Volume is based on cone area...and because it's the amount of air moving that is important; cone area plays a roll just as much as Xmax plays a roll, and both should be considered with a subwoofer.

Again if someone with lots of knowledge in these kinds of technicalities with subwoofers could comment that would be great!
