I cant wait until friday, Ill pick up my two 13 w3's and then go straight to home depot, or lowes and get all the stuff i need to build my box. just to make sure though, this is what i need right :

MDF wood 3/4 (also if i were to stack the wood to make it 1.5 thick would that change the way the box sounds?)

Wood Glue

Screws

carpet

is that all i should need to buy? any recommendations on more or different things than i have listed?

I used the torres calc to comes up with a sealed box design, but im not sure how i figure out the port dimensions i would need. I figure a sealed enclosure would be good for me to build as a first, then ported depending on how the sealed comes out. I figured i should probably do a box with about 2 cubes per sub. it should be something like 16x32x18.

Do you have any massive clamps to squeeze the box while the glue dries? They are not completely needed. But they help and keep things square. But if you dont do alot of boxes it isnt worth it.

nah i dont have any of those, are they expensive? i have weights, or is that a bad idea? Also when assembling the box after cutting is done i should glue then screw the panels together correct? but after the glue is dried are the screws obselete at that point?

Now that you mention it.... Funny thing is that I actually asked my boss for a pay advance one friday so I could afford to buy materials to make my current box! I just couldn't wait the 3 days until payday. :pardon:

The screws will basically be obsolete, their main use is to hold the box together while the glue dries. Once it dries, they serve no real purpose, might offer a bit of bondage but the glue is your main man ;)

Bassless once again. Can't seem to keep a system for more than a few weeks :)

Saving for a '06 Nissan 350z, look for build around June 2012.

DD's is right. Glue is what does the work. The clamps take the place of screws basically. Just holding the piece while the glue dries. I use an air nailer and the clamps. Nails are alot easier to conceal with putty than a screw head.
