mr.p Posted April 14, 2011 Report Posted April 14, 2011 (edited) you will be able to run a pair of xl's in 10 cubic feet no problem that was about 9 with 4k per sub, they got very hot fast, but you will be able to improve on that box as 1 cubic foot was wasted making it 2 seperate enclosures and the low 30hz tuning. I would redo it and run a drivers side port tuned to 37hz and the extra 1-2 cubes would go to the sub airspace and they would be FINE! Edited April 14, 2011 by mr.p Quote DCAUDIO BALLS DEEP

I have a DC power alternator coming soon 270amp, they were telling me i could run about 5000 watts for my system. mr.p Posted April 14, 2011 Report Posted April 14, 2011 That video was taken with 4 group 31 deka's, and a group 37 underhood battery, and i had a failed mechman alternator...it would not charge at idle, lowest voltage i ever saw was 12.5V it would hold that rock solid for 3-4 songs no problem. Less power will not be as loud with this spl type box design, that is where having more volume would be more beneficial you can get a smoother flatter response and the subs will move off alot less power.
