Now, I found ones for low prices that say they'll convert 12V DC to 120V AC. But then it says 80w continuous and 150w max. What exactly does that mean? Azagtoth502 Posted April 15, 2011 Report Posted April 15, 2011 Just like it sounds, in this case 80 watts steady. You say your using it for a laptop, make sure the one you choose had enough amperage. Computers need clean, steady power. You need to buy a portable generator to power a laptop battery, along with a way to vent the exhaust right in the car on your ass's face... Kidding. It's like car audio, in a way. 80 watts continuous output, 150 watts at its peak, but no more. Quote POTATO!
