Box help for a hatchback for Lvl 2 12s

If you're going to use a slot port, you're looking at around 24" of height, minimum.

Or you could save some space by using a single 6" aeroport...but you only have 28" of width to work with, so that won't work.

So if I go 3 ft total, do I need to make the box a little bigger to compensate for the the port or is it 3 ft and leave it at that. Also can I still do a down firing box? And will going ported sound better in a hatch like my cube than a sealed box.

thats a pretty tiny car, id fire subs & port up.

read up & design box here >>> http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/boxcalcs.asp

3 cubes NET, which is after port, sub, & bracing displacement.

id do a slot port with 45-50sq" of port.

what are ur max dimensions to work with?

The max dimensions would be 37 wide 13 deep and open to height and that is with subs and port up. And i guess if I were to fire and port back it would be 37 wide 10 deep ? tall

I noticed that most of the slot ports seem to be about 4 inches wide or more. Is there anything wrong with going with a 1 or 2 inch slot port so that it doesn't have to be as long?
