04ex18 Posted June 14, 2011 Author Report Posted June 14, 2011 ok, so this is the first box i have ever built, and i took my time, and its only dry fitted together, and i will finish it this weekend, as i work my ass off during the week and i feel like doing nothing when i get home, hell, i dont even feel like doing this, but i wanna get sum input on my box........i am tuned rite above 34 hz, 206 sq inches of port area, and 17.02 of port area per foot, i dont know how this is going to sound......but i will see, as i have payed for my alternator and xs 6500, and i am waiting for them, im going to order two d3400s and two other smaller xs batterys just dont know which ones yet, to fit between my box and seat. so the box is rite at ten inches from the roof, my question is should i cut it down the box to 26 inches? it would raise my tuning to 36.86, and i would make a port plug of some sort to bring me down around 30 just to hear lows, the port is 10 inches exactly from my hatch.....pictures!

04ex18 Posted June 22, 2011 Author Report Posted June 22, 2011 Well, i got my alternator from mike, this thing looks beast, from wut i have seen and been told and heard his alts are strong, and i also got my 6500 for under the hood, one of my buds has some s3400 batterys fer sale so im picking up three of those, should put me up to par on electrical, if not i guess its bye bye spare tire, and as for my box, ima put it together dry fitted and see wut it sounds like, then if the port is getting chocked, which im sure it will be, ima cut it down sum and do something with my tuning, cause i dont want it tuned higher than it really already is, towards the end of summer ima ditch the back seat and do four 18s, possibly the hdc4s, if they ever come out, but anywho, pictures........ will have more as i plan on it playing by this sunday!
