nickers Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 size doesnt matterr for cooling purposes what does matter however is the material used in the dustcaps construction. it could be paper, treated paper, aluminum, etc. ones that are more air permeable would be the better solution for cooling. thats just what ive heard. chevrolet all day er day. Thinking is the root of all problems... You ALWAYS get what you pay for.
MACnonsence6 Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 Doesnt the cap wieght efffect how the subwoofer performs to like wouldnt an 8" cf cap make ur sub work harder vs an 8" poly? I picked up an MTX Sw1212 powered subwoofer today. This thing sounds amazing. 130 watts, 12" woofer with a passive 12" woofer tuned to 27 hz. Moving the pictures on the walls and my girl got wet from the bass when i showed her haha. Tonight should be good haha.
