StreetZ
I had just bought my two DC level 4s about 2-3 months ago or so and one of the two subwoofers blew. I had them running clean rated power with all new wiring and amplifier. I love DC and i hope to find a way to get my subwoofer fixed and it suprised me legitly when one of them blows just short of 2 1/2 months. Any ideas/recommendations are welcome Thanks, StreetZ Edited April 27, 2011 by StreetZ Quote ::::::STREETZ:::::: NEW BUILD COMING S☺☺N!!! dwright27
How do you know it was clean power? Did you use a DMM to set the gains? dwright27
Also, what's your box specs? Tuning and what you were playing? I know i could get my level 4s almost to the point of melting the coil to the former and never had a problem with them. Only way to know if the signal is unclipped is with a Oscilloscope. And no, you CAN'T hear clipping. Not trying to say the woofers couldn't have been defective, because rusty does build them by hand, but hats the chances of 2 subs built for the same person in the same day failing for manufacturer error? CJ18
How do you know it was clean power? Did you use a DMM to set the gains? I would have to go a step further and say if you didn't use a scope to set your gains then you don't know if it was clean power or not. Kinda a trick question ... Edited April 27, 2011 by dwright27 Quote 2006 F-150 4 DC XL M2 18's Walled Daily Driver XS Power 4 DC 3.5kw Team DC Team S.P.L.
