I haven't been able to find any motors yet but even without motors, building a pair is only 40 dollars less. I am pretty sure I will not be finding a pair of motors for under 40 so it would be more expensive to build the SX rather than buying a pair of SXX. The specs on the SX and SXX are practically identical. The motor on the SXX is a little bigger and that is it. The biggest difference I can find is with the basket design. Is there some major flaw with the SXX that wasn't there in the SX that doesn't come across in the specs? All the reviews I have read have nothing but good things to say about the new SXX.
Supercharged DCs Posted May 2, 2011 Report Posted May 2, 2011 Why would you need a 4k/5k watt amplifier if your only running 2 Re Sx? They are rated for 1000wrms each, so you would want a 2kw amplifier. Look into the AQ2200, it's $389. Also look into the Audiopipe line of amps, and the Crescendo ones as well. They would be your best bet for cheap... Bassless once again. Can't seem to keep a system for more than a few weeks Saving for a '06 Nissan 350z, look for build around June 2012.
